Frequently asked questions

Costs

What does an offshore developer cost? Senior developers typically run about $31-$41/hour in Asia, $60-$75 in Latin America and $64-$76 in European outsourcing markets (Accelerance, Nov 2025). See offshore development cost.

How is billing done? Monthly, per person, at the rate agreed before anyone starts.

Are there hidden fees? No placement or recruiting fees on top of the agreed rate. Budget your own management time.

Hiring and vetting

How do you vet developers? Partner companies are checked for references, security practices and retention; individual developers go through technical interviews, code review and a communication assessment. Then you interview them.

How many candidates will I see? Usually 2-4 per role.

Can I hire just one developer? Yes.

Starting and working together

How fast can we start? Shortlist in about a week; developers usually start 1-3 weeks after approval.

Is there a trial? Yes: two weeks on real work before a longer commitment.

Which tools do they use? Yours: Git hosting, ticketing, chat, CI/CD and meetings.

What about time zones? Latin America overlaps most of the U.S. day; Europe and Asia commit to agreed overlap hours.

What if someone isn’t a fit? We replace them, with handover notes.
